Is God Angry?

Is God angry with the way we treat our fellow human?

Is he angry with the cheaters, liars, slanderers?

With the faithless, heartless, ruthless,

the prideful, boastful, shameful,

the wasteful, lustful, greedy,

the selfish, self-loving, self-seeking?

Is God Angry with you and me?

Is God Angry?

Is God angry with the world we’ve created?

Is he angry with the keyboard warriors, and do-good-bloggers,

the plastic recyclers, and the tree huggers,

the cigarette smokers, and the coffee drinkers,

the junk food eaters, and sweatshop workers,

the gluten free, dairy free, chocolate lovers,

Is God angry with you and me?

Is God Angry?

Is he angry with the widow and the fatherless?

With the children and the rapists,

the politician and the artist,

the murderer and the hipster,

Is God Angry?

Does he pour out flames of righteous indignation

Does he punish the wicked as well as the good?

Am I deserving of death?

Am I not good?

Is God just?

Have I made it across the line?

Don’t I have a good enough excuse?

Is God just?

Have I fallen short?

Don’t I keep the law?

Is God just?

Is God a superhero vigilante?

Is God the judge?

Is God just?

Will God be the justifier of me?

Will he stand and judge me and then let me go?
